The RSA has joined with 40 other organistions supporting a continuation of women’s right to freely and safely choose an abortion in Victoria.
In the face of a challenge to Victoria’s existing abortion laws by MLC Dr Rachel Carling-Jenkins, the organisations have written an Open Letter to the Premier and the Minister for Health.
Dr Carling-Jenkins thanked preacher Danny Nalliah, who previously claimed the Black Saturday bushfires were connected to abortion laws in Victoria. She also thanked the Australian Christians and said, “I wish you each held a seat in this Parliament with me and I promise to hold true to our shared values.”
