J.J.C. “Jack” Smart AC, died on 6 October 2012.

The following message will be taken to his funeral on Monday 15 October at Springvale crematorium on behalf of all Rationalists:

“In memory of Jack Smart, a great philosopher who put Australian philosophy on the world stage. He was a good friend to the Rationalist Society, giving talks and contributing articles to our journal.

We honour his contribution and mourn his passing.
