Matt Withoos

Matt Withoos is a technology enthusiast who loves nothing more than diving head-first into the latest and best innovations in the tech sphere. He has a keen interest on how they can be used to progress and transform our society for the better.
These days, Matt’s focus is on his new social enterprise, Fair Digital, where he and his team help charities, not-for-profits, Government and social start-ups with their digital needs, sometimes in a pro-bono capacity where possible. In the first year of operation, Fair Digital has achieved an informal target of 30% time/money donated to charities or not-for-profits. Fair Digital’s vision is to become the trusted, transparent, go-to technology partner for all difference makers.
Through his previous role as Technology Lead for public sector change management consultancy Collabforge, he helped Government collaborate and engage better through the use of bespoke software solutions. One of the highlights was working with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to deliver an Ideas Challenge platform, which saw over 50% of the 4,000-strong department involved in sharing nearly 350 ideas, culminating in a Ministerial announcement of the winners. Being so pleased with the results, DFAT requested a new Ideas Management Platform every year since.
In joining the Rationalist Society of Australia, Matt will bring new technology insights, strategy and services in the hopes of elevating internal and external collaboration and communication. Through supporting the team, partners, volunteers and members, he wants to see technology play an integral role in strengthening the Rationalist Society of Australia into the future.

All the more reason.
